Noor Art Exhibition Opens with a Celebration of the Islamic Art Era

The opening ceremony of Noor Art Exhibition marked a significant cultural milestone as the first exhibition in the Epochs of Art series, dedicated to the Islamic Art Era. The event was held on 30th January at Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, bringing together artists, scholars, cultural leaders, and art enthusiasts for an evening of reflection, dialogue, and visual storytelling.
The ceremony commenced with an insightful opening speech by Ms. Shiba Khan, who shared thoughtful perspectives on the richness, symbolism, and historical significance of Islamic art, setting the tone for the exhibition.
This was followed by an engaging Art Talk on the Islamic Art Era, featuring distinguished speakers & Honorable VIP Guests: Ms. Meena Kamal, Mr. Rayad Kamal Ayub, Ms. Majida Nasreddin and Ms. Narges Soleimanzadeh
The speakers explored the evolution of Islamic art, its philosophical depth, cultural influence, and contemporary interpretations, offering valuable insights to the audience.
The official opening ceremony was conducted by the Honorable VIP Guests: Ms. Meena Kamal, Mr. Rayad Kamal Ayub, Ms. Majida Nasreddin, Ms. Narges Soleimanzadeh, Mr. Ahmed Al Awadhi, Mr. Anjini Prakash Laitu and Mr. Peter Gressman along with our artist friends Ms. Nishtiman Gadheri and Ms. Fatemah Hosseinbor.
Following the certificate ceremony, guests were invited to a guided art tour, where participating artists personally explained their artworks, sharing inspiration, techniques, and narratives behind their creations.
The exhibition features 25 artworks by 21 artists from diverse nationalities, showcasing a wide range of expressions inspired by the Islamic art era, including calligraphy, geometric patterns, symbolism, and contemporary interpretations rooted in tradition.
