“New Beginning” Exhibition Opens at Novotel Sharjah Expo Center, Showcasing 70 Award-Winning Young Artists
Sharjah, UAE | 10 January 2026
With artworks from 70 selected award-winning students, chosen from over 1,200 submissions at the Annual Student Art Show, the exhibition New Beginning officially opened on 10 January 2026 at the Novotel Sharjah Expo Center. Organized by Funun Arts Group, the exhibition marks the group’s first major cultural event of 2026, setting the tone for a year rooted in creativity, learning, and artistic growth.
The exhibition was inaugurated in the distinguished presence of Mr. Abdul Jabbar Weiss, legendary watercolor artist, and Mr. Ahmed Al Awadhi, alongside the talented young artists and their proud parents. Located on the mezzanine floor of the hotel, the gallery came alive with 70 inspiring artworks, reflecting originality, passion, and artistic excellence across diverse styles and themes.
The opening event began with a highly engaging and interactive watercolor masterclass by Mr. Abdul Jabbar Weiss. In an impressive live demonstration, he created four stunning watercolor paintings in just 30 minutes, generously sharing masterstrokes, techniques, and practical insights with the students. The session left the audience inspired, and Mr. Weiss graciously promised to conduct a detailed workshop for all participating students in the near future.
Following the masterclass, a guided exhibition tour was held, during which students confidently presented their artworks, explained their concepts, and shared their creative journeys with guests and visitors—making the experience both personal and deeply meaningful.
Funun Arts Group extends heartfelt gratitude to the parents and mentors for their unwavering encouragement and support, and sincere appreciation to the Novotel Sharjah Expo Center management for their hospitality and collaboration in making the exhibition a success.
