Green Guardians was a family sustainability event. It was organized by @fununartsgroup and @novotelsuitesmallavenue. The event brought families together for a fun-filled and educational day. The focus was on Eco-conscious living.

The event was thoughtfully structured into four segments, each offering a unique learning experience: 1. Introduction to Composting- The management of Novotel Suites Mall Avenue Dubai Hotel led an engaging session on composting. They showcased how the hotel converts 100% of its food waste into nutrient-rich compost. This compost is then used as manure in their kitchen garden. The kids eagerly participated. They asked insightful questions and gained a better understanding of composting. They also learned the importance of reducing food waste.

2. Garden Tour and Harvesting- The second segment included a guided tour of the hotel’s kitchen garden. Children explored the lush greenery. They participated in a hands-on basil planting activity using compost-enriched soil. They also had the delightful experience of harvesting fresh vegetables, fostering a deeper connection to nature and sustainable practices.

3. Art Painting Session: “What Sustainability Means to Me”. Renowned artist and founder of Funun Arts Group, Shiba Khan, led an inspiring art session. In this session, children and their parents creatively expressed their understanding of sustainability through painting. This relaxed and reflective activity encouraged families to think critically about the importance of protecting the environment.

4. Pizza-Making Activity- The final segment was a pizza-making activity in the hotel kitchen. Using the freshly harvested vegetables from the garden, the kids enjoyed crafting their favorite pizzas. They merged culinary creativity with a practical understanding of farm-to-table concepts. The event concluded with closing remarks and a delightful lunch. Participants gained valuable lessons about sustainability. They also left with cherished family memories.
