Funun Arts Group worked with Art of Living Mall in Dubai. They celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with an extraordinary art event named RANG – Colors of India. This event beautifully highlighted the richness of Indian heritage and the enduring cultural ties between India and the UAE. It created a vibrant platform for art, culture, and dialogue.
Indian Republic Day is celebrated on January 26th. It marks a pivotal moment in the nation’s history—the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950. It signifies the country’s emergence as a sovereign republic. This day also celebrates the democratic ideals, unity, and cultural richness that form the core of India’s identity. This day serves as a reminder of the collective spirit and diverse beauty of India.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed VIP guests. The guests included His Excellency Yaqoob Al Ali. His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Al Maainah was also there. Her Excellency Halima Al Sayegh attended, along with Honorable Sultana Farouq Kazim. Eng. Aliya Shaik Mohammed Al Kindi, Muhammad Yusuf, Kusum Dutta, Ahmed Al Awadhi, Anjini Prakash Laitu, Tarannum Ahmed, Akbar Saheb, Vikas Bhargava, Sonakshi Goel, and Reema Mahajan were also present. Their participation added immense value to the celebration. The event also saw strong support from notable guests and friends. Notable individuals included Sahab Anees, Vidisha Pandey, Kavita Sriram, and Sibel Yavuz. Ranjisha Raghavan, Parvin Fathi, Sugat Priyadarshi, and Samaneh Mojaveri were also in attendance. Their presence contributed to the festive atmosphere.
The event included a vibrant array of activities that captivated attendees. A thought-provoking panel discussion took place. It explored the deep cultural ties between India and the UAE. The discussion also highlighted their historical connections. It shed light on the unity and mutual respect that bind the two nations. The impactful speeches from Eng. Aliya Shaik Mohammed Al Kindi and Muhammad Yusuf, whose insights inspired all attendees. Youth speakers Tanveer Akbar, Khwahish Punjabi, Joud Khaled, and Mariam Ahmed Alshamsi shared their youthful perspective. Their energy enhanced the discussions.
The cultural performances were equally mesmerizing. Priyanka Ghate and her team from Sunarthanam Dance Group delivered a powerful dance presentation. It was graceful.
Artists like Afshan Nawaz Khan, Ahmed Al Awadhi, Akbar Saheb, Anjini Prakash Laitu, Anju K Mehta, Ankita Tiwari, and Dhruti Vrajesh Shah presented a stunning collection of art. Dr. Mankush Srivastava, Dr. Poonam Chauhan, Dr. Seema Upadhye, Farah Khan, Jagruti Sanjay, and Khan Ayaan Abdulla also contributed. Kiran Kumar, Latha Narayanan, Manjari Vaibhava, Menka Jain, Mohd. Huzaifa Khan, Mridu Srivastava, Neema Rajesh, Pari Sagar, Salwa Saleem, Sandhya Iyer, Shilpa Chandrasekheran, Swapnil Jawale, Tammanna Ansari, Vasanthi Kannan, and Vidhi Soni were among other participants. These artists brought vibrancy and life to the exhibition with their remarkable creativity.
