Ruminism- Bridge to soul

RUMINISM- Bridge to soul.

An online art exhibition by Funun Arts connecting Arts & Poetry. ….. for peace, love & harmony.

“Life is a balance between holding on and letting go.” Rumi

Art, the simple three-lettered word, has a broad definition. From photography to music to dance to painting to poetry, everything is a form of art. Creating something to express something that speaks to people. Art is a language of its own. We see art everyday but how we see it is different.

Poetry is an art form in which human language is used for its aesthetic qualities in addition to, or instead of, its notional and semantic content. … Poems frequently rely for their effect on imagery, word association, and the musical qualities of the language used. And same is painting where artist goes beyond imagination.

“Your heart knows the way. Run in that direction.” Rumi

This exhibition as all previous projects by Funun arts is special with unique theme which brings artists close to poetry and brought Rumi in their life.

The ability of the artist to transmute paints into forms, shapes and feelings has always been a source of wonder to me. Equally fascinating is the interplay between art-forms – the way poetry, sculpture, music and painting relate to each other. I feel the relationship between painting and poetry is a particularly close one. Both come out of a desire to make something new of the familiar, to capture an experience in a living, concentrated way. Both share a harmony, structure, color and rhythm; in the compositional balance of a painting, one can almost speak of one color “rhyming” with another.

90 artists from 25 different nationalities worldwide sharing their artwork along with Rumi quote.

Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, also known as Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkh, , and more popularly simply as Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, faqih, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan in Greater Iran.

For centuries, art has inspired poets and poetry has inspired artists. Discover a myriad of lessons, ideas, and multimedia that explore creative expression and inquiry at the crossroads of poetry and visual art.

“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” Leonardo da Vinci

One thing that is very interesting in this unique form of exhibition is the comparison of poetry and painting. They are both forms of art but one is written and one is visual. The painter Lessi said that painting and poetry are similar in the way that they make “absent things present”. They also both imitate reality.

As Rumi said, “Inside you there’s an artist you don’t know about… say yes quickly, if you know, if you’ve known it from before the beginning of the universe.”

That this is the defect, this is the disease

And here is the cure
